The Pfeiffer University Office of Teaching, Learning, and Innovation initiated several programs since 2018. The Blackboard Influencers is a small faculty group charged with serving the larger Pfeiffer faculty as experts in the implementation of effective use of the Blackboard learning management system to enhance student engagement and faculty skills. As a Blackboard Influencer, I am enrolled in a series of courses to improve my digital pedagogy.
Here is my certificate from the first of a three-course series leading to a digital teaching and learning certification. I am currently enrolled in the second course, with the final course scheduled for Spring semester 2021.
As Blackboard Influencers, Dr Caroline Hohensee and I were scheduled to present a course on student engagement using microcredentials; that course was cancelled due to the COVID19 move to online instruction. Here is the flyer for the continuing education series that included our presentation:
